I mean, yeah, pretty much. But I've been pecking away at it since I was what, eight years old? And I like to think I'm not half-bad at that.

where even are you?

Seated behind a laptop somewhere in Oxford County, Ontario, most of the time. Occasionally back in Hamilton, where my friends and my heart live.

why do you write?

I don't think I even know how not to anymore. Telling stories is linked somehow to how I function as a human being. There have been times in my life when it’s been the only thing that makes any sense at all.

Where do you get your ideas and inspiration?

Pretty mundane places, for the most part. Random little things that happen in my life. Silly conversations with family or friends. Sometimes, just from daydreaming about the kind of story I want to read, myself. I collect tidbits and fragments until I have enough to pack together into one bigger thing.

what are you working on right now?

At any given moment I'm in the midst of probably more projects than I care to divulge. I have ADHD and often bounce between things as the mood takes me. It's not a great habit, I know! But I can dedicate myself mostly to one thing if I care enough about it...
